Haiku for August 1
I woke up this morning with a touch of depression. Since forever, June and July have been my favorite months. I like the letter J, I love the brevity of the four-letter names, and I crave the warmth and freedom that ensues. Now I have to wait 10 more months for my favorite time of year to come around again.
So today I mourn the passing of June and July. I put my wistfulness to use in the Haiku Buckaroo contest.
Write your own and enter (by August 10).

Exactly! Why does summer fly by the fastest of all the seasons? Why can’t winter be so rapid fire?Ah, me.I feel the same way. Loved the Haiku!

Oooh, Debora and Kami…I hope you entered the contest. Those are terrific!Debora, it’s been so different this year with Rob home, too (and we’re not moving, which consumed us last summer). Plus, the kids are just at an easier age.Last year I was definitely ready for school to start, but this year, not so much.
