I got to live vicariously through my children this week when Balistreri Vineyards hosted their annual children’s grape stomping.
Complicit in this use of child-labor, we pre-purchased 2 bottles of Little Feet Merlot, which will be available next year. (I am counting on the fact that the 16% alcohol content takes away 100% of the feetiness of this wine. Otherwise? Ewwwwww.)
It was great fun to watch the children stomp and get all gooey. I classify this — and sipping the forthcoming wine — as a perfect moment.
I can hardly wait for the chocolate factory episode (for which I will *not* live vicariously).

Love that name. Little feet. I want a picture of the feet after the stomping. Looks like lots of fun.. and lots of stain.

It is clear how much you love your children to even think of consuming something that has made extended contact with children’s feet.
Though I’ve got to say, it’s a little weird to have kids make something that they can’t consume for a decade or so.

I never would have guessed that they would actually use the foot grapes to make wine. But 16% alcohol should kill everything. A few brain cells, included.

Smashing grapes with my feet sounds like so much fun.
Grapes and juice would be squishing between my toes…and the wine is also a great incentive.

I keep mentally composing my perfect moment posts and then not getting them done.
I will share the one I almost got written yesterday – a perfect hug from my DH – like the old days, before LB. Long and just the two of us.
